Possibly my favourite piece of architecture in the recently built Liverpool One shopping centre.

Liverpool’s Anglican cathedral photographed on Bonfire Night (November 5th) 2009. Was hoping for a little more smoke from all the bonfires and fireworks.
I’ve been meaning to take some shots of the building for a while now. Finally managed to drag myself away from the “other attractions backstage” and got some shots I’m pleased with. The ballroom is a stunning piece of period architecture so no doubt there will be plenty more photos to come.

Waterstone’s is just one of many great buildings to be found in the new Liverpool One shopping center.
The building at the Pier Head which houses the ventilation for the Birkenhead tunnel. I love the Art Deco style, and it always amazes me that they spent so much energy on a building that’s essentially utilitarian in nature.
