The exchange flags entrance into the Martins Bank building in Liverpool, designed by Herbert Rowse and opened in 1932. The main entrance has some rather beautiful though somewhat disturbing carvings related to Liverpool’s trading past.

Hub Festival Liverpool 2010

The urban street festival the HUB was back at it’s usual home at the far end of Otterspool Prom. Over the May bank holiday weekend it was host to band’s, BMX’s, B-Boys and of course skateboarders. Kinda mixed weather this year but at least it was sunny on the Sunday.

On Sunday 11th April I was involved in the NorthernNET Four Hour Film Challenge at the FACT Cinema and Art Gallery in Liverpool. The event taking place simultaneously in Leeds, Liverpool and Newcastle challenged 15 teams of film makers to produce a 4 minute film in just four hours. The movies had to be shot, edited and delivered in the allotted time. The movies are then transmitted via the MAB’s (Media Access Bureau) to be screened to the live audiences in each city.

A panel of judges spread across the three cities will then debate via a live satellite link to award a trophy to best film, actress and actor. Here are just a few of the many shots from the day.
