Things aren’t always as they seem, Clayton Mark who plays Elvis in the show is also a fine trumpet player. Although not match fit, he still has a gorgeous tone that many full time players would be proud of, and I bet in his time he was top drawer. Trumpet is not an instrument that you can take time off from, and to keep your chops together you have to play it every day.
I’ve been meaning to take some shots of the building for a while now. Finally managed to drag myself away from the “other attractions backstage” and got some shots I’m pleased with. The ballroom is a stunning piece of period architecture so no doubt there will be plenty more photos to come.
